Page 1Night had come. Lily snuggled into bed and watched silver moonlight drift softly through the window. Olive was curled up at the foot of the bed. It had been a day of running and laughing. Her eyes felt heavy, but her heart still hoped for an adventure.
Page 2Suddenly, a tiny light appeared at the window. It was a little firefly with wings dusted in stardust. Olive watched the light with curious eyes. “Hello, Lily!” said the firefly. “Lady Moon invites you to the Dream Garden tonight. Would you like to come?”
Page 3One, two, three! Lily rose gently into the air. The clouds were soft as cotton candy, and the wind was calm. Olive floated right behind them. Below, the city lights went out one by one as everyone fell asleep. Only Lily and her little guide were awake.
Page 4The sky looked like a giant blanket covered in shining beads. Lily reached out, touched the nearest star, and it giggled. Olive sniffed a star curiously. “Every night we keep children's sweetest dreams,” said the biggest star. “Tonight, your dream will shine here too.”
Page 5At last they reached the Dream Garden. Flowers bloomed all night long, and the leaves shone silver in the moonlight. Olive wandered happily among the flowers. In the middle of the garden, Lady Moon sat on a soft cloud. “Welcome, Lily,” she said in a gentle voice.
Page 6Lady Moon handed Lily a small glass jar. “You can keep the most beautiful moment of today in here,” she said. Olive peeked into the jar with a curious nose. Lily thought for a moment. Today there had been giggles, hugs and warm soup. Remembering them felt cozy inside.
Page 7Lily set the jar beside the stars. The light inside rose up and drew a brand-new constellation across the sky. Olive leapt up with joy. “Whenever you look up, you will see today's happiness there,” said the little firefly proudly, fluttering its wings.
Page 8A breeze swept through the garden, and all the flowers yawned together. Lily let out a big yawn too. Olive snuggled close with sleepy eyes. “It's time to go home,” said Lady Moon. “Tomorrow is a new day, and new adventures will be waiting.”
Page 9Drifting gently down from the sky, Lily slipped back through the window. The pillow was waiting, and the blanket was still warm. Olive curled up close and closed its eyes. The firefly glowed one last time. “Good night, Lily,” it whispered. “May your dreams always sparkle like this.”
Page 10The room grew quiet. As Lily slept soundly, a little constellation kept shining outside the window just for her. Olive slept peacefully nearby. In the morning Lily would tell everyone about this magical night. But for now, all she needed was rest. The End.
