How to gift a digital storybook

By KidleoBooks · Published 16 October 2026

A digital book can feel less tangible than a wrapped present. With a little preparation it can be just as memorable — and it never gets stuck in the post.

Print it

Every book includes a print-ready PDF. Many print shops can print and bind a short book; at home, a colour printer and a folder work too. A printed copy wrapped with a ribbon makes a lovely unboxing moment.

Read it together

If you live far apart, read the online book together on a video call. Let the child turn the pages and spot their name.

Timing and details

Before you create the book, gather the essentials:

  • The child's first name (or nickname) and age
  • A rough idea of their look — the parents can help
  • The family's reading language
  • Whether a pet should appear as a companion

Sharing with the family

Books are private by default. You can share the PDF directly, or create a share link for the online book and turn it off later.
